Purvanchal is one of the most ancient regions of India and enjoys a rich heritage and culture, particularly because of its association with cities like Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ballia, Ghazipur and many others. However, the economic and industrial growth of this region had been greatly hindered because of caste-guided political in-fighting and a huge population. The major issues are lack of civic infrastructure, proper rural education and employment. Bleak law and order is a major area of concern. Negligence on the part of Uttar Pradesh government and Central Government of India have also added to its present condition of chaos
Purvanchal – Ground Reality
In spite of Basic infrastructure region is quite retarded in per capita income, dense population, unemployed youth, skill Trained workers, Marketing skill , Low Agricultural Productivity, Electricity and bad road condition.

There is lack of Leadership in taking-up the issue with Government machinery, No RTI and attitude keeping low with the National Development.
Migration is one of the major issue due lack of Industry and unemployment. Political nexus, Patriarch, caste and creed is still keeping backward.
In the last couple of years Central & State Government are taking keen interest for the Development.The condition of Electricity has Improved a lot. Road connecting is Improving but still lacking in Health Care and education . Good Hospitals or Primary Health Centre should be close- by and services should be available in best possible time . Condition of Education is Improving but more to be done.

Hope under Present Leadership
Under the present leadership UP is on trajectory growth on each & every sector. Electricity has improved a lot with 18-22 hours per day in rural & urban town/Cities. law & order has improved a lot and Investment are flowing after major steps were taken . Road Infrastructure and Promotion of Tourism are other aspects are taking shape ..
